INDHEAP featured at the SET Plan IWG-Industry 2026 Annual Event

June 3, 2026

The SET Plan IWG-Industry 2026 Annual Event, titled “Integrating industrial electrification in the energy system and supporting its deployment in all European regions”, was organised by the SET-IndEU project in cooperation with A.SPIRE and held back-to-back with its General Assembly as part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). The event brought together representatives from industry, research, and policy to exchange on the future of industrial decarbonisation.

Within this context, INDHEAP was represented in Session 1, which focused on technical perspectives on heat pump applications, industrial heat, energy circularity and electrification. Valéry Vuillerme (CEA), INDHEAP Project Coordinator, presented the project and shared insights into the potential of hybrid solar systems for industrial applications. His intervention highlighted how integrated renewable solutions can contribute to delivering efficient, reliable, and sustainable industrial heat. The session concluded with a panel discussion, where speakers further exchanged views on the challenges and opportunities related to accelerating the deployment of these solutions in industry.

The session underlined the importance of moving from demonstration to large-scale deployment, as well as prioritising solutions that are already technologically mature but remain underutilised in industrial contexts.

INDHEAP directly contributes to this objective by advancing innovative hybrid solar technologies tailored to industrial processes, supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and climate-neutral industry.

Stay tuned for more updates on INDHEAP’s activities and results as the project continues to advance innovative solutions for industrial decarbonisation.
