INDHEAP M24 Press Release Now Available

July 27, 2026

Two years into its implementation, the INDHEAP project has reached an important milestone in the development of integrated solar thermal and photovoltaic solutions for industrial heat and power.

Over the past 24 months, the consortium has made significant progress across energy analysis, system integration, optimisation, technology development, and demonstration preparation. Key achievements include the development of a hybrid solar thermal and photovoltaic system for the demonstration site, the advancement of innovative storage and control solutions, and the continued preparation of the INDHEAP demonstrator.

As Project Coordinator Valéry Vuillerme (CEA) explains:

“Following the energy audits carried out as part of the project, measures aimed at improving resource efficiency and energy adaptation were proposed for the demonstration and replication sites. A hybrid ST+PV system has been designed for the demonstration site using the methodology developed by the project and following its integration guidance. The project is now entering its most critical phase, with the implementation of the demonstrator in a restricted industrial environment, with the aim of starting testing in early 2027.”

The progress achieved so far reflects the collaborative efforts of the consortium to develop practical and integrated solutions that support the decarbonisation of industrial heat and power.
